He won for his most recent special, “Sincerely Louis C.K.,” in which he mocked his own improper conduct. A ceremony declared the winner prior to the official airing. The news was also shared on the Recording Academy’s Twitter account.
C.K. also provoked uproar in 2018 when he criticized survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy in Parkland, Florida, in a stand-up act.
